Accessing the Dashboard
The dashboard is accessible on the home page of the admin site.
The home page and dashboard can be accessed from anywhere on the site by clicking the OPS-COM logo in the top left of the screen.
Layouts
For admin users with the correct permissions, two buttons should appear above the dashboard; a "Layouts" button, and a drop-down menu.
The drop-down menu allows the admin to switch to a different dashboard layout. This will only change the layout of the dashboard for that admin user.
Creating Dashboard Layouts
Admins can create and edit their own dashboard layouts by clicking on the "Layouts" button next to the drop-down menu. This will open a page with a list of custom dashboard layouts.
Clicking either "Edit" on an existing layout or "New Layout" will open the dashboard layout editor. Here, admins can drag and drop widgets from the sidebar onto the dashboard layout, and move and resize them as desired.
Dashboard Items
New system widgets will continue to be added and made available in the widget storage sidebar.
It's also possible for admins to create their own custom dashboard items. Clicking the "Dashboard Items" button on the layouts page (next to the "New Layout" button) will open a page with a list of custom dashboard items.
Clicking either "Edit" on one of the items or "Create New" will open the dashboard item editor. Once saved, the custom item will appear in the widget storage sidebar when editing a layout.
Permissions for the dashboard can be found under System Configuration → Admin Management → Manage Roles → Edit a role → System Configuration.
