The search payment report provides quick access to various payment information. This article explains the various search and report features that can be found in this tool.

Accessing the Report

From the Payments menu click on Search.

The page will refresh with the Payments Reporting search form that gives you the ability to search by Confirm Code, Transaction ID, Order ID, as well as a number of present search items below.

Here is an example of searching based on the confirm code 7d444zbcdffe54b50bde

Provided the confirm code exists in the system the screen will refresh with the Transaction Details for that purchase.

Pre-Configured Searches

The search tool also has a number of additional pre configured searches that will help you find information quickly.
Some of the reports will have the ambility to set a date range where others do not require a specified range.

Support Agent Notes

Its important to note that payments that occur seconds after 11:59pm can sometimes appear on our clients payment portals the next day at 12:01. For example, it could show as 11:59pm on Oct 27th on our system but show as 12:01 Oct 27th on our clients payment portal. This is because the payment could be submitted and take time before its actually processed by the Hosted Payment provider.

When searching Submitted Payments you will see some search results contain items that do not match the search criteria. A Refund or an Adjustment may show up in the list pf payments made by cheque for example. In fact the same ones will typicaly show up for any payment type selected. Paul explained that this is by design in the code. We'd like to look into this further when time permits.

Paul's Explaination:

I believe this is intended functionality. It's in the code specifically to add that. The payment method shows adjustment or refund instead of the method or refund it actually has.
It also appears as a positive or negative adjustment, but only when not associated to a payment (on the paying/processed side, not adjustment side, if that makes sense)
I did see an issue where the adjustment wouldn't show up when it was associated to a payment on the submitted report.
