OperationsCommander has the ability to set a flag on a violation that will allow the violation to bypass the normal collections system. This means that the violation will not be sent to MTO for lookup, be sent a Notice of Impending Conviction letter or be sent to the Provincial courts. This flag is important to allow Municipal clients to honor a clients request for a trial immediately after receiving the violation. This ticket will now be handled manually when it is sent to court. For more information about the entire Municipal Collections process refer to this wiki article. |
- To set the flag, open the violation search page.

Description from Jira task: Town of Perth requests that we add a flag that will put any violation into the collections process manually. The status will indicate it was sent to collections.
This flag will ensure that the violation bypasses the existing NIC letter and the CRC process for sending to court.
Perth Admins must use the existing Violations Notes feature to add notes to the Violation to explain what customer requested it and any details they feel are necessary to explain why the ticket was put in that state.
Perth Admins will be able to pay or cancel the violation as necessary after the court ruling if the admin has the appropriate permissions to pay violations that have been sent to collections.
Once a violation has gone through the collections process once, it will not go into the Collections process again.'. Click Ok.
