Use these instructions to manage Lot Zones via Admin Options. Lot Zones are used in Parking Management in OPS-COM to define areas within a larger lot. These zones are also used in relation to the Parking Validator as well as in patrolling using LPR technology. Generally use is tied directly to enforcement and the handhelds. |
Managing your Lot Zones
Click Admin Options, Parking and and Manage Lot Zones.
The Manage Lot Zones page will display and you can choose to Add or Edit a Lot Zone.
To Add a new Lot Zone, leave the drop down menu as "Select a Zone", and click the Add button. The page will refresh with a Zone Name text box. Enter click the Add Lot Zone button. Enter the name of your new Parking Zone. When finished, click "Add Zone" Save Changes.
To Edit a Lot Zone, select one of your Parking Zones from the drop-down menu and click "Edit". The page will refresh with the Zone Name text box. Enter the new name you would like for this Parking Zone and click "Update". To delete/archive a Zone, click "Delete"
A confirmation window will appear. To confirm your choice, click OK in the confirmation window.
click Edit next to the Lot Zone that you want to edit. Enter the changes that are being made, then click Save Changes.
Only Zones with no records can be deleted, to delete a Zone, click Delete. Then on the confirmation window, select Delete.

Be aware that when configuring zones for T2 meter applications we set up zones in OPS-COM and apply them to the lot config, however in IRIS itself the Zone applied to the individual lot must match the Location in the specific meter's configuration. For IRIS, see also: IRIS Config (Edit these settings in IRIS by going to the System Settings Pay Station tab. Click on the pencil icon to edit the Location) All Development Notes are listed here |
