How to manage,edit, add adelete your Parking Zones.

To get to the Lot Zones, click Admin Options, hover over Parking, then click on Lot Zones

Use these instructions to manage Lot Zones via Admin Options. Lot Zones are used in Parking Management in OPS-COM to define areas within a larger lot. These zones are also used in relation to the Parking Validator as well as in patrolling using LPR technology. Generally use is tied directly to enforcement and the handhelds.

Managing your Lot Zones

Click Admin Options, Parking and Manage Lot Zones.

To Add a new Lot Zone, click the Add Lot Zone button. Enter the name of your new Parking Zone. When finished, click

4. To edit your Lot Zone, click one of your Parking Zones from the drop-down menu, then click "Edit. When you are done editing your Parking Zone name, click "Update". To delete one of your zones, clicka zone from the drop-down menu, then click "Delete". If you are deleting one of your zones, a pop-up box will appear, click "Ok", otherwise click "Cancel"

To Edit a Lot Zone, click Edit next to the Lot Zone that you want to edit. Enter the changes that are being made, then click Save Changes.

Only Zones with no records can be deleted, to delete a Zone, click Delete. Then on the confirmation window, select Delete.

  • Pay station machines such as T2 must be pushing a zone into our system that is attached with an actual lot. If the zone is not set up with a lot then it will display as active in the Pay Station data but not on the handheld unit. If the zone that is being pushed into the system is not being used, then the permits will show as invalid. 
  • If an end user is able to park in multiple lots with a Pay Station virtual permit you would configure all the lots with the same zone. 
  • NOTE: When scanning plates, if a user has purchased parking with the Pay Station that serves multiple lots, the informatiuon on the handheld will list all the lots that the virtual permit is valid in.

Troubleshooting Info

  • Bitwarden has credentials for DigitalPaytech.com for FNP. You can see the T2 IRIS settings 
  • Papertrail has information about what is being pushed to us. 
  • All records should show up in the Pay Station report as well.

Be aware that when configuring zones for T2 meter applications we set up zones in OPS-COM and apply them to the lot config, however in IRIS itself the Zone applied to the individual lot must match the Location in the specific meter's configuration.
