Support Agent Notes

In order for a client to use this, they would have to have paid for the right to integrate with OPS-COM, been issued an API Key and had their integration validated by testing with us.

Server setup

The Addresses used for testing and production:

https://controller-dev1.parkadmin.com/api/OC-TOMA/v1/permits/push

https://controller-preview.operationscommander.com/api/OC-TOMA/v1/permits/push

https://controller.operationscommander.com/api/OC-TOMA/v1/permits/push

nGinx needs to have Access-Control-Allow-Origin : * to work.

The controller also needs to be behind a certificate.

Related Info

1. Ensure that the correct URL is being used such as production or preview so the API is pushing to the appropriate site.
2. The clientID is required and must be specific to the clientID they are using. For example, the links above contain OC-TOMA for testing with Tomahawk.
3. The permits for the Push API are actually being sent to the CaleParkingData table and NOT the pemit table.
4. The returned reference ID during an initial push must be used to reference the permit again for any kind of UPDATES as there is no actual UPDATE API
5. Note that the UPDATE and DELETE API's are currently not in rotation and that HotSpot currently only uses the PUSH to do both the creating and updating of permits from their system.
6. Errors can occur when the API key is not set up correctly or they are not using the proper key.

Client Setup

There is some setup related to getting clients to use the API. First, they must have an API token that exists on the API token table. They then have to have a api_permission record that lists what kind of permission the token can has.

The permission needed for this api request is permit-create.
